They may be small, but they are mighty…

Tools & Supplies
- Fondant – Tan, Red, Brown, Green & Black
- Candy Melts – Yellow
- 1 3/4″ Circle Cutter
- Mini Rolling Pin
- Taco Holders
- Piping Gel
- Dresden Tool
- Mini Grater
- Lemon Zester
- Scraping Tool
- Wax Paper
- Water & Small Brush
- Black Sugar Pearls
- Tweezers
- X-Acto Knife
- Americolor Super Black Airbrush Paint
- Tiny Ball Tool
- Shelf Liner

In addition to the video tutorial, here are step-by-step instructions. 🙂
Happy Tacos – Making Ingredients
SMILES (not shown in video)
- Make 1/16-1/8″ diameter snake with black fondant
- Cut into 1/4-3/8″ sections with X-Acto knife
- Shape sections into smiles with fingers
- Place on wax paper and set aside to dry
TACO SHELLS
- Roll tan fondant with mini rolling pin
- Cover fondant with shelf liner and roll again to create texture
- Cut circles with 1 3/4″ circle cutter
- Place circles texture side down on wax paper
- Set wax paper inside taco holder and set aside for shells to dry
TOMATOES
- Roll tiny bits of red fondant into little balls
- Make five tomatoes per taco
- Place on wax paper and set aside to dry
MEAT
- Shred brown fondant with a lemon zester
- BE CAREFUL – DO NOT SHRED YOUR FINGERS!!!
- Place on wax paper and set aside to dry
- Gently clean zester with scraping tool
CHEESE
- Shred yellow candy melts with a mini grater
- BE CAREFUL – DO NOT SHRED YOUR FINGERS!!!
- Place on wax paper and set aside
- Gently brush stray candy melt chunks free with your fingers
LETTUCE
- Shred green fondant with a mini grater
- BE CAREFUL – DO NOT SHRED YOUR FINGERS!!!
- Place on wax paper and set aside
- Gently brush any green fondant free with your fingers
Happy Tacos – Assembling Your Tacos
STEP ONE
- Brush water on taco shells
- Add meat inside the shells
- Rearrange with dresden tool if needed
STEP TWO
- Brush water on meat
- Sprinkle cheese on top of the meat
STEP THREE
- DRIP water on cheese – Note: cheese will be very sticky, avoid touching it with your brush
- Sprinkle lettuce on top of the cheese
STEP FOUR
- Brush water on lettuce
- Gently place five tomatoes on each taco
- Rearrange with dresden tool if needed
Happy Tacos – Make their Happy Faces!
SMILES
- Use tweezers to gently grab a black fondant smile
- Lightly dab smile in piping gel
- Attach to side of taco
EYES
- Use tweezers to grab black sugar pearls
- Lightly dab eyes in piping gel
- Attach to side of taco on either side of the smile
FRECKLES
- Place one drop of Americolor Super Black airbrush paint in a small container
- Dip tiny ball tool into paint and gently touch a taco cheek
- Repeat to make four freckles in a diamond pattern on each cheek
Carefully stand your Happy Tacos upright on wax paper. Allow them to dry overnight before placing on freshly frosted cupcakes.
